About The Position

Assists with the planning, coordination, performance of design, analysis and liaison engineering supporting the development and production of Gulfstream products and services. This role involves contributing to the planning, development, and coordination of important engineering projects, providing specialized technical assistance, and using advanced techniques to solve complex problems. The engineer will determine their own approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives, working under limited supervision and acting as a liaison with external representatives. Additionally, the role includes actively improving daily processes, staying current with industry developments, and assisting with executive cabin interior engineering design and configuration, floorplan studies, feasibility assessments, build list updates, certification strategy, and customer change requests in alignment with Part 25 & 135 certification requirements (including EWIS). The engineer will also review design data, translate it into aircraft build lists, and coordinate with various internal teams and external parties. Experience with CATIA V5 with SmarTeam/Teamcenter is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job
  • Five (5) years in specific technical discipline or 10 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors
  • Experience credit considered for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters, 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of company product
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist with executive cabin interior engineering design and configuration
  • Assist in floorplan studies, feasibility assessments, build list updates, certification strategy, and customer change requests in alignment with Part 25 & 135 certification requirements (to include EWIS)
  • Assist with the review of design data and translating it into aircraft build lists
  • Act as liaison and coordinate with design engineering, certification/configuration management, sales & design, project engineers and operation teams
  • Assist in reviewing Certification Plans on Major Design Change (MDC) projects
