About The Position

Janicki Industries is seeking a Configuration Management Engineer to join their growing team in Hamilton, WA. This role focuses on using systems engineering to maintain product consistency throughout its lifecycle, including requirements, design, and operational capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience with Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) and managing change control processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in product configuration management with proficiency in configuration management tools.
• 3+ years in systems engineering planning or agile scrum techniques.
• 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience performing activities such as requirements definition, traceability, interface definition, design documentation, integration, verification, and validation.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Experience with CATIA and NX or equivalent CAD software.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proficiency in product lifecycle management.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Top Secret Clearance.
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
• Must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status due to ITAR and EAR regulations.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
• Must agree to enter a Continuous Evaluation program for Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in quality administered systems, ISO 9001 is preferred.
• Experience as a requirements database administrator.
• Experience with SAP ERP software is advantageous.
• Experience working with composites, in a lean manufacturing environment or working with complex aircraft assemblies is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform CSA activities such as capturing product and configuration information, retrieving data on change decisions and design problems, and maintaining historical traceability.
• Manage and approve requirement changes and define change control processes for requirements and manufacturing parameter changes.
• Manage the definition of interface requirements and their verification.
• Utilize SAP-ERP to manage, control, and monitor authority material configuration.
• Perform compliance and traceability assessments and report key metrics and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Lead in establishing requirements and verification Configuration Management structure.
• Assess and document proposed configuration changes.
• Identify and implement system and process improvements.
• Manage the engineering change process for drawings, parts lists, and BOMs.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of new strategies to improve the efficiency of design change implementation.
• Create, update, and manage configuration training documentation.
• Maintain standards for part numbering schemes.
• Responsible for the product as-built configuration and serialization.
• Execute multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
• Interface with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Project Management for document submission.
• Maintain appropriate filing structures for archived material.
• Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
• Maintain good attendance and be on time for work.
