About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst for a remote contract position with a Global Financial Institution. This role supports the implementation, operationalization, and continuous improvement of the client's Configuration Management Program. The analyst will collaborate with technology, infrastructure, security, and application teams to establish configuration standards, identify and track deviations, maintain data accuracy, and drive remediation efforts to reduce technology risk and improve compliance.

Requirements

5-7 years of experience in configuration management, vulnerability management, IT operations, cybersecurity, or risk management
Familiarity with configuration compliance tools, CMDB platforms, and enterprise infrastructure technologies
Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and manage remediation activities to completion

Responsibilities

Analyze technical issues, develop solutions, and support IT systems
Assist with implementation and ongoing management of the Configuration Management Program
Develop, document, and maintain configuration standards, baselines, and procedures
Monitor configuration compliance and identify unauthorized or high-risk deviations
Coordinate remediation activities with technology and application owners
Track and report key metrics, risks, exceptions, and remediation status
Support audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance assessments by providing evidence and reporting
Maintain configuration management records and ensure data accuracy within CMDB and related tools
Identify opportunities to automate configuration monitoring, reporting, and remediation workflows
