Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field; an equivalent combination of technical education and experience may be considered
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in configuration management, design engineering, systems engineering, project engineering, or a related technical field
  • Experience with engineering change control and document management processes
  • Knowledge of configuration management principles and engineering documentation practices
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and technical documentation
  • Familiarity with applicable engineering codes, standards, and quality assurance requirements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and engineering document management systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the nuclear, DOE, DOD, utility, chemical processing, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience supporting engineering design changes, design verification, or plant modifications
  • Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, IEEE, or other applicable engineering standards
  • Experience with quality assurance programs compliant with NQA-1 or similar standards
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and requirements management
  • Experience supporting startup, commissioning, or operational readiness activities
  • Experience working within DOE or NRC regulated environments
  • Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the guardian of engineering configuration by ensuring design documents, drawings, specifications, and system changes accurately reflect the plant's approved configuration.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and project teams to evaluate engineering changes.
  • Maintain configuration management processes.
  • Support audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
  • Preserve the integrity of our systems while supporting ongoing modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
