Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field; an equivalent combination of technical education and experience may be considered
3+ years of engineering experience in configuration management, design engineering, systems engineering, project engineering, or a related technical field
Experience with engineering change control and document management processes
Knowledge of configuration management principles and engineering documentation practices
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and technical documentation
Familiarity with applicable engineering codes, standards, and quality assurance requirements
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and engineering document management systems
Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance

Nice To Haves

Experience in the nuclear, DOE, DOD, utility, chemical processing, or other highly regulated industries
Experience supporting engineering design changes, design verification, or plant modifications
Knowledge of ASME, ANSI, IEEE, or other applicable engineering standards
Experience with quality assurance programs compliant with NQA-1 or similar standards
Understanding of systems engineering principles and requirements management
Experience supporting startup, commissioning, or operational readiness activities
Experience working within DOE or NRC regulated environments
Currently holding an active Q-level security clearance

Responsibilities

Serve as the guardian of engineering configuration by ensuring design documents, drawings, specifications, and system changes accurately reflect the plant's approved configuration.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and project teams to evaluate engineering changes.
Maintain configuration management processes.
Support audits and regulatory compliance.
Help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Preserve the integrity of our systems while supporting ongoing modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
