About The Position

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. Requirements

  • B.S. in engineering with 5+ years of aerospace vehicle structures/systems development experience
  • Experience managing complex engineering changes across multiple production vehicles
  • Proficiency with effectivity and product structure management within CAD and PLM systems
  • Experience with system-level trade studies and design optimization
  • Strong cross-functional teamwork and communication skills
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software and visualization tools
  • Knowledge of scheduling and planning principles
  • Strong GD&T skills and tolerance stack-up analysis experience
  • Experience participating in drawing and design reviews

Nice To Haves

  • Configuration management training (CMII)
  • Aerospace design, fabrication, and assembly knowledge
  • Ability to translate high-level requirements into design solutions
  • Experience with design for cost, manufacturability, and assembly
  • Experience providing design guidance to technical teams
  • Strong competency in PTC Creo and Windchill
  • Ability to conduct interference

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all aspects of GS1 Vehicle Design by coordinating between subsystems to create optimal structural, mechanical, fluids, and electrical solutions.
  • Configuration management, system-level trade studies, change request processing, and managing multiple concurrent vehicle configurations to support material planning.
