About The Position

As a Configuration Analyst, you will design, implement, maintain, and deploy product variant configuration models for new and existing products using the SAP Variant Configuration (VC) Module. You will help ensure accurate and efficient product configurations using VC objects such as characteristics, classes, dependencies, configurable bills of materials, and material variants. The role includes conducting weekly configuration review meetings, maintaining configuration review trackers, and ensuring the accuracy of Final Quotations (FQs), Sales Orders (SOs), and product configurations throughout order fulfillment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support engineering changes, resolve configuration-related issues, improve business processes, advance automation initiatives, and maintain configuration governance and data integrity across the product lifecycle. The role also supports user training and guidance on variant configuration practices. It is suited to candidates with 0–3 years of relevant experience, including fresh graduates with strong analytical skills, and requires a bachelor's degree in a related discipline. The stated salary range is $94,000–$123,420.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
0–3 years of relevant experience in product configuration, engineering support, ERP systems, manufacturing operations, supply chain, or related business functions; fresh graduates with strong analytical skills are encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn complex product structures and configuration rules.
Ability to interpret and analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), product configurations, engineering documentation, and business requirements.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented, with a strong focus on data accuracy, process compliance, and continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite and of manufacturing business processes.
Exposure to SAP Variant Configuration (VC), BOM management, engineering change processes, or product data management.
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Experience using AI-assisted tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar solutions for data analysis, documentation, reporting, or process improvement.

Responsibilities

Design and implement variant configuration models for new products, and maintain, enhance, and deploy existing models.
Use VC objects and best practices, including characteristics, classes, configuration profiles, constraints, procedures, selection conditions, super BOMs, super routings or recipes, variant tables, user interfaces, and variant pricing.
Apply knowledge of material variants, price linking, sales order costing, and configuration dependencies to support accurate product configurations.
Review existing product configuration models and business requirements to identify opportunities for standardization, optimization, automation, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate and lead weekly Configuration Review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders to review changes, resolve issues, align requirements, and support timely decisions.
Maintain the Configuration Review Tracker, documenting and following action items, change requests, approvals, and implementation statuses through closure.
Validate Final Quotations (FQs), Sales Orders (SOs), and configured BOMs through configuration reviews, issue analysis, and system verification checks.
Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, and IT on new product introductions, engineering changes, and customer-specific requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues affecting quotations, order processing, planning, manufacturing, costing, and customer deliveries.
Drive governance and change-control processes to maintain configuration integrity, traceability, and compliance across product lifecycles.
Provide user training, coaching, and subject-matter expertise on variant configuration processes, tools, and best practices.
Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and digital technologies to improve productivity, data analysis, and operational processes.
