About The Position
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Senior Configuration Analyst in Chelmsford, Massachusetts for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support configuration management and data integrity across engineering and manufacturing by maintaining authoritative product baselines, controlling revisions, evaluating engineering changes, and ensuring configuration data remains accurate and traceable throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree with 10+ years of Configuration Management experience.
- Experience applying Configuration Management policies, procedures, and tools.
- Experience managing product revision control and configuration baselines.
- Ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering drawings.
- Experience reviewing, documenting, categorizing, and tracking engineering changes.
- Experience supporting documentation traceability and baseline-management processes.
- Ability to evaluate Technical Data Packages and identify configuration impacts.
- Experience working effectively with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong document-management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Interim Secret clearance required to start, with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Configuration Management certification.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with SharePoint, Windchill, JIRA, and/or Confluence.
- Knowledge of SAE EIA-649 Configuration Management principles and practices.
- Experience with electronics manufacturing or electronic product design.
- Previous aerospace, defense, military, or logistics experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain product revision control and authoritative configuration baselines.
- Develop and support documentation-traceability processes for engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Review, log, categorize, and track engineering changes against approved customer baselines.
- Analyze Technical Data Packages and communicate configuration impacts to affected stakeholders.
- Ensure Configuration Management and Data Management processes comply with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Lead change-management activities from initial development through product sustainment.
- Support configuration-control activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Coordinate with design engineering, manufacturing, and other technical organizations.
- Produce clear and accurate configuration documentation and communications.
- Support special projects and cross-site configuration-management initiatives.
- Mentor junior analysts and share Configuration Management best practices.
