About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an experienced Configuration Management Analyst to join their team supporting their Plymouth, Minnesota location. This position is expected to start as part-time and may remain part-time for an extended period, with the possibility of expanding to full-time hours based on business needs. The role is part of the Armament Systems Configuration and Data Management Team, which provides tools, processes, and expertise for configuration and data management activities across programs, suppliers, and partners for all engineering programs. Analysts are crucial in managing product configuration baselines (Functional, Allocated, and Product) and releases using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools, JIRA, Bitbucket, SharePoint, and system modeling tools. Program Analysts are responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining program Configuration Management / Data Management Plans, and coaching programmatic alignment to these plans across various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). They will also conduct program audits and lead Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings with internal teams and external customers to support the process of Change Notices (CN’s), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and Requests for Variance (RFVs). Additionally, they will be the program advocate for generating, releasing, and delivering Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) to customers, ensuring delivered items meet contractual requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business/project management, computer information systems, or library sciences & analytics.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM) for Level 2, or 5 years for Level 3.
  • Master’s degree in lieu of 2 years of experience for Level 2, or Master’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience for Level 3.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to a level of Secret.
  • Experience understanding and translating contractual requirements into program planning activities.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and data management tools.
  • Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and supplier deliverables (SDRLs).
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 and the proper application for drawing generation and Technical Data Package (TDP) deliveries.

  • Experience supporting and presenting at program reviews with our customers.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for part and component part number entry and revision control for manufacturing and builds at the various factory locations.
  • Familiar with drafting practices and design drawing interpretation, including program contract requirements application and verification.
