This role involves managing all power, space, and cooling configuration management activities for site data centers on behalf of the site DCM. The Configuration Analyst will manage the implementation of the Government’s DCIM tool at the site level, and develop and maintain site DCIM change/configuration management processes with site stakeholders to ensure all data center elements are captured. A key responsibility is to implement and manage a site data center audit program to maintain the accuracy of the site DCIM and AutoCAD data elements and floor drawings, ensuring system integration compliance with the System Integration Specification. The role also includes performing Quality Assurance inspections for equipment rack integration activities and assignment of system level liens, and developing and distributing data center metrics to stakeholders. Additionally, the analyst will provide advice and guidance on documentation creation, drive technology release strategy and execution, and design pipelines that minimize manual involvement. Collaboration with other departments to implement best practices for release tools and processes, and coordination with the DC management team to minimize overlap in PSC requirements gathering are also essential. The role supports site surveys, reviews Change Requests impacting site PSC resources, and utilizes site and enterprise configuration management tools to analyze PSC requirements and maintain an accurate site baseline. This includes managing site-unique PSC configuration management tools and coordinating local site DCIM implementation with DMD. The analyst will input and maintain the site DC hierarchy, floor plans, and equipment within the enterprise DCIM web portal, and coordinate change/configuration management process development with the System Engineering and Integration team. Developing, maintaining, and distributing required PSC and equipment metrics, and implementing quality assurance activities to audit data accuracy are crucial. The role also involves coordinating with AOs/system owners for rack content data integration, and with DMD and network teams for DCIM monitoring network development. Collecting and managing "rack level" power and environmental data, and developing custom DCIM templates/models for site-unique equipment are also part of the responsibilities. Finally, the analyst will perform Quality Assurance inspections for equipment rack integration activities and audit site data center floor plans, coordinating "as-built" changes and baseline changes with applicable configuration management tools.
