About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Configuration Analyst to support the NSWC Crane Hypersonic Systems Engineering Team in developing and implementing Configuration Management (CM) processes, authoring documentation and policy, and applying CM best practices for a hypersonic developmental program. The program is establishing formal processes as configuration responsibility transitions from the Lead Systems Integrator to the Government. The analyst will assist the Crane CPS CM lead in shaping CM strategy, including processes for the CPS Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) test environment, in a rapid development setting. The work also supports preparation for weapon system sustainment, technical and data-driven solutions, and evaluation and recommendation of engineering, CM, and Data Management tools. The role has extensive interaction with Government National Team stakeholders, Prime Contractors, National Labs, and working groups across systems engineering, hardware and software engineering, and logistics. The position must be filled in Crane, Indiana; Huntsville, Alabama; or Washington, DC, and requires regular access to classified information. A hybrid schedule with some telework is available when the employee is not needed at the customer site. Travel is 10% of the time.
