About The Position

Responsible for supporting the Conferences and Programs Manager, department and program to include effectively scheduling programs and staff, exercising sound program management, and ensuring maintenance and upkeep of the department/program area by performing the essential and marginal responsibilities below and the branch/ program specific responsibilities detailed on the supplemental fact sheet(s). Assists Conferences and Programs Manager in identifying and implementing new services/ programs. Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED required
  • CPR/First Aid/AED – must obtain certification within first 90 days of employment and maintain a current certification thereafter.

  • Lifeguard training

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact for conference groups on weekends and, at times, during the week.
  • Build a positive working relationship with group leaders and participants.
  • Ensure that all setup is completed before the group arrives at camp.
  • Supervise support staff when needed to run activities, ensuring they are in the correct place and serving the group.
  • Run meals for conference groups, arriving 15 minutes before the start of each meal.
  • Provide communication between guest, program, facility, and kitchen team during the guest stay at camp, including numbers within the official wrap-up sheet.
  • Remain on call for the duration of the weekend and able to assist groups with whatever is needed.
  • Perform initial clean up of camp and communicate any concerns and successes after group leaves.
  • Assist Outdoor Education program during the week as an instructor.
  • Ensure policies and procedures based upon ACA Standards are implemented.
  • Assist in other duties as needed.
