About The Position

The Conference & Event Manager will collaborate directly with clients to craft detailed, unforgettable event experiences. This role involves leading banquet coordination, driving revenue through upselling, managing guestroom blocks and contracts, overseeing payments, and supporting sales and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of event services, technology, and client communication, with the flexibility to adapt to the dynamic nature of event planning.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of event services experience
  • Strong technology skills (BEOs, diagramming tools, CRM systems)
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Exceptional communicator (clear, concise, ability to calm clients)
  • Understanding of group and social event segments

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with clients to craft detailed, unforgettable event experiences.
  • Lead banquet coordination by managing timely BEO creation and distribution.
  • Drive revenue through upselling opportunities and proactive communication with clients.
  • Monitor guestroom blocks and ensure contracts are on track to avoid attrition charges.
  • Manage payments from start to finish, ensuring every invoice is clear and accurate.
  • Lead site tours, join pre- and post-event meetings, and be present for event execution.
  • Support the Sales and Marketing team with sales activities and revenue checks.
