Requirements

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Machining Techniques
  • ASP Machining on Numerical Control Machine Tools
  • DEC in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Basic knowledge of English to understand specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may come from international organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure optimal production of equipment, machines, and tools.
  • Analyze work, identify production requirements, and anticipate special requirements regarding difficulties.
  • Diagnose production indicators, statistical data, and perform operational cycles to simultaneously operate several machines or internal/external processes at the advanced manufacturing center.
  • Maintain and optimally control the production flow and parts inventory.
  • Perform necessary adjustments, modifications, and alignments of tools, equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Take required actions to maintain production pace to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
  • Perform first-level diagnostics to identify the source of problems, intervene, and/or coordinate interventions from different support groups.
  • Apply knowledge of equipment and robotics/networking as a first responder.
  • Apply the maintenance plan for equipment/processes, perform autonomous maintenance routines, and any minor maintenance work such as maintaining fluid/media/acid levels; checking, cleaning, and lubricating parts and gauges; minor repair of machinery, tooling, and mechanical equipment, and provide support during interventions.
  • Use various computer systems and technologies such as machine interfaces and automated lines, dashboards, ESS system, tooling, maintenance, and consumables management system, and/or any other computer systems necessary for the proper functioning of the advanced manufacturing center.
  • Validate compliance with the quality plan by performing dimensional and visual checks on parts and tools according to the sampling plan.
  • Proactively analyze indicators.
  • Investigate repetitive problem causes.
  • Recommend, direct, implement, and monitor preventive or corrective actions, as well as for work techniques and methods.
  • Use mechanisms such as "ANDON" to report events that hinder work progress according to standards.
  • Apply calibration routines and ensure tool integrity by maintaining appropriate records.
  • Document all requirements related to the global quality plan.
  • Initiate and lead quality clinics to meet the overall equipment effectiveness rate.
  • Validate that parts meet all requested standards and specifications.
  • May be called upon to perform various tasks or operations such as ATTI verification, shot blasting, sandblasting, polishing, cleaning by various chemical and mechanical processes, simple deburring, masking and unmasking of parts and/or various items, etc., to ensure the continuous flow of materials.
  • Additionally, perform tasks external to the advanced manufacturing centers such as balancing, inspection, and packaging.
