About The Position

The candidate sought will be called upon to work from drawings, work methods, sketches, or verbal instructions, concerning the methods and equipment to be used, in order to set up, operate, and adjust numerically controlled robots for new engine parts or for the correction of used or new parts. They will also have to: Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts using precision measuring instruments such as check gauges and maintain appropriate records. Perform tasks on parts currently being machined. Wash, preserve, package, and move parts, ensuring that parts meet standards and specifications. Perform maintenance routines to ensure, among other things, that fluid levels are adequate, filters are clean, and the general condition of the machine complies with the checklist. Participate in training and share knowledge with teammates. Organize and maintain their workstation and adhere to our high standards for occupational health and safety.

Requirements

  • DEP in machining techniques with ASP numerical control
  • Ease of working in a team while having good autonomy
  • Interest in mechanics

  • Basic knowledge of English to understand certain specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms that may come from international organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and adjust parts and equipment for the application of protective coatings or to rebuild a surface based on various and complex drawings, sketches, CNC machine programs, manufacturing processes, specifications, and other verbal and written instructions.
  • Use cleaning, heat treatment, or other processes to remove various contaminants.
  • Visually inspect surfaces to be rebuilt to ensure their cleanliness.
  • Prepare surfaces by abrasion.
  • Mount, install, adjust, stabilize, and balance the part on the rotary table or other required support for metallization.
  • Set up, operate, and adjust plasma spray machines to ensure the condition and conformity of the equipment to meet the required specifications according to specific coating application schedules.
  • May be required to modify programming parameters.
  • Apply maintenance procedures such as torch alignment, leak detection, injector adjustment, and inspection. Metallize samples, for certain processes or qualifications, requiring laboratory verification.
  • Perform deburring work such as removing excess coating, including correcting application defects.
  • Occasionally perform rework and touch-ups if necessary.
  • Perform dimensional and visual checks on parts during repair as indicated or required using different types of precision measuring instruments and check gauges.
  • Maintain appropriate records of various parameters to establish efficient and stable operations with statistical process control.
  • May be called upon to participate in the development of new parts or processes for the selection of methods or tools.
  • May be required to operate several nearby machines simultaneously.
