About The Position

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Concrete Superintendent to join our Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) project in Honolulu, HI. This role involves supervising the construction effort on elevated guideway structures to ensure the project is constructed safely, in accordance with design, budget, and schedule. The Concrete Superintendent will assume responsibility for planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions, including scheduling and subcontractor coordination. They will also ensure compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials and equipment, adherence to the site safety plan, and timely performance of the project schedule. Additionally, the role requires providing technical assistance, assisting project management with schedule development and site logistics, supporting the Site Specific Safety Plan, and coordinating with on-site Owner employees. This is an opportunity to work on a significant infrastructure project with a company that has a long history of building and maintaining critical infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 15 or more years of construction experience
  • 10 or more years’ experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects overseeing construction of concrete structures
  • Experience as a superintendent on projects valued over $500M
  • Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.
  • Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred
  • Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft
  • Experienced in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid or similar software
  • OSHA 500, certification, CPR & First Aid Certs
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future

  • Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
  • Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
