About The Position

The company is seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to lead field operations for concrete flatwork projects throughout the Kansas City market. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a Superintendent who understands the demands of concrete construction and can effectively manage crews, subcontractors, schedules, materials, safety, and quality. The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of experience specifically supervising concrete flatwork operations and the ability to keep projects moving efficiently from preparation through completion. Projects range in size from approximately $500K to $50M and may include highway concrete, parking lots, municipal curbs, sidewalks, and other large-scale flatwork applications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Concrete Superintendent, with a strong background in concrete flatwork.
  • High school diploma or equivalent relevant construction experience.
  • Experience supervising concrete construction projects ranging from approximately $500K to $50M.
  • Strong understanding of concrete flatwork, including preparation, forming, placement, finishing, and related activities.
  • Proven ability to lead crews and coordinate multiple trades and project stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of construction plans, specifications, sequencing, and scheduling.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive jobsite.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day concrete construction operations and field activities.
  • Lead concrete crews and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and other project partners.
  • Plan and sequence work to maintain project schedules and productivity.
  • Oversee concrete flatwork from preparation and forming through placement, finishing, and completion.
  • Review plans, specifications, and project requirements to ensure work is executed correctly.
  • Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and production.
  • Maintain high standards for workmanship, quality, and jobsite organization.
  • Enforce company and project-specific safety procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with Project Managers and company leadership regarding progress, challenges, and resource needs.
  • Identify and resolve field issues before they affect project schedule, quality, or cost.
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation and project records.
  • Help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
