About The Position

Leola Construction is seeking a Concrete Superintendent to oversee our residential concrete operations. In this role, you will lead slab-on-grade and post-tension foundation work for single-family homes, directing crews and subcontractors with integrity and excellence. This is a hands-on, field-based position operating across multiple residential subdivisions. The ideal candidate combines strong communication, accountability, and a drive to grow, and keeps every pour on quality, on schedule, and on budget. Even if you’re new to some technical aspects of the role, we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of concrete superintendent or foreman experience in residential construction; production homebuilder experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of post-tension slab systems, including cable layout, stressing, and inspection requirements.
  • Familiarity with Texas soil conditions (expansive clay, coastal soils) and the foundation methods used to address them.
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and hold accountable concrete crews and subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and a safe jobsite at all times.
  • Oversee daily concrete operations across multiple residential jobsites, including slab-on-grade and post-tension foundation pours for single-family homes.
  • Manage all phases of slab construction (site prep, grading, form setting, vapor barrier and termite treatment, post-tension cable layout, rebar placement, pour, finish, and stressing) to keep quality, schedule, and budget targets on track.
  • Coordinate directly with builder superintendents, post-tension engineers, ready-mix suppliers, pump operators, and subcontractor crews to keep production flowing across multiple subdivisions.
  • Conduct site inspections and progress reviews, identifying issues with soil conditions, moisture, form alignment, and cable placement before they impact the pour.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes, municipal inspections, and engineer specifications.
  • Communicate clearly with project managers, builder partners, and office staff, providing detailed daily updates, photos, and reports to maintain transparency.
