Concrete Superintendent
About The Position
Fessler & Bowman is hiring a Concrete Superintendent to lead commercial concrete projects across Middle Tennessee. The role oversees day-to-day jobsite safety, quality, schedule, and production while developing foremen and crews. Projects include tilt-wall, structural concrete, multifamily, post-tension, slab on grade, and slab on deck work. The position involves planning pours, manpower, materials, and equipment; coordinating with owners, general contractors, and the project management team; and keeping projects on time and on budget. The company describes the schedule as typically Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays depending on the project schedule, and offers a path to General Superintendent.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of concrete or heavy civil experience, including experience running crews.
- Ability to read plans and plan work ahead.
- Hands-on leadership style, with an emphasis on teaching and developing others.
- Strong communication with crews, foremen, and customers.
- Basic computer skills for scheduling, reports, and email.
Nice To Haves
- OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
