About The Position

The Concrete Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Southern, CA, responsible for overseeing concrete operations from planning through completion on assigned projects. This role coordinates and supervises concrete crews, schedules daily activities, and ensures work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include directing formwork and flatwork installations, supervising heavy equipment and ready-mix concrete placement, and monitoring quality control and productivity. The Concrete Superintendent communicates with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers, manages material deliveries, and maintains accurate records of labor, equipment, and progress. The role also involves enforcing safety protocols, troubleshooting issues in the field, and mentoring team members to maintain high performance and workmanship standards.

Requirements

  • Concrete construction expertise, including experience with formwork and flatwork.
  • Hands-on knowledge of heavy equipment operations related to concrete work.
  • Familiarity with ready-mix concrete handling, placement, and finishing practices.
  • Carpentry skills applicable to building and adjusting concrete forms.
  • Experience supervising field crews and coordinating multiple trades on-site.
  • Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and layout techniques.
  • Commitment to job site safety, including knowledge of OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and direct teams.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, resources, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Several years of experience in concrete or general construction.
