Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work on federal military installation sites
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must pass background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- PCI Quality Control Technician/ Inspector Level II Certificate
- ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector Certificate
- ICC Pre-stressed Special Inspector Certificate
- ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector
- Experience with reinforced and pre-stressed concrete
Responsibilities
- Interpret project plans and specifications for compliance with projects requirements
- Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations and results
- Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications
- Interact with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Complete soils inspections, which include Earthwork operations including placement and compaction of structural fill, utility trench backfill, subgrade preparation, excavation. Identifying and verifying the use of approved materials, moisture-conditioning, lift thicknesses and degree of compaction during placement of fill. Sampling and testing of compacted fill materials
- Complete concrete inspections, including Concrete pre-placement inspections: reinforcing steel installation, prestressing, formwork, embeds, Concrete placement inspections: placement, consolidation, testing, finishing, curing, protection. Concrete post-placement inspections: surface finish, repairs, construction joint preparation, curing.
