About The Position

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES develops and integrates products, engineering support, repair and maintenance services to provide value-added solutions to owners, engineers and contractors. They provide specialty contracting services through their contracting companies, and state-of-the-art proprietary products and engineering support services through their technologies company. With over 2,500 employees, they serve the Commercial, Public, Transportation Industrial, and Power markets. STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is the in-house engineering business line of Structural Group. Structural Technologies VSL specializes in advanced structural strengthening, repair, and post-tensioning solutions, addressing complex structural challenges across various industries including buildings, bridges, dams, and infrastructure. The home office is in Manassas, VA, with occasional meetings there. This position does not involve welding duties and is not suitable for applicants with only welding experience. Requirements

Focused on safety in all situations and environments
Comfortable with the use of standard PPE at construction sites
Team and solution oriented, with a proactive, professional, positive attitude
Experienced construction field technicians / laborers
The ability to read and speak English
The ability to lift material up to 50lbs
Good hand-eye coordination & capable of standing for extended periods of time
Motivated to work more than 40 hours per week
Desire to grow and advance within the company with commensurate salary growth
Must provide own transportation
Valid Driver’s License
Pass DMV record screening
Pre-employment drug screen is required

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with concrete repair, formwork and finishing, grouting, and placement/tying of rebar
Familiarity with the installation and/or stressing of post tensioning systems
Familiarity with new construction and existing buildings
Comfort with working at heights
Prior experience in post tensioning
Hardworking, reliable, and ready to learn at a fast pace
Bilingual in Spanish / English
Union ironworkers/rodbusters with ability to work union or open-shop projects

Responsibilities

Working alongside a Foreman/Superintendent to execute daily tasks
General concrete repair (demolition, rebar installation, carpentry, concrete pours, finishing)
Operating power-tools (i.e rotary hammers, chipping hammers, hammer drills, etc.)
Post-tension repair
Rebar/post-tension installation and stressing
Independently traveling between projects
