About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This internship offers the opportunity to put your education into action in the field to support and participate in assigned project work. You will support plant operations in achieving production goals while partnering with experienced engineers, managers, and production employees in different departments. You will complete technical projects to gain an understanding of the operations and learn the mission of the production, maintenance, and quality departments and different job and functions. Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

  • Current juniors and seniors working toward a degree in Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Commitment and engagement through a high level of work ethic and utilization of abilities for the best of the company.
  • Demonstrated openness to change, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
