About The Position
Maple Reinders Constructors Ltd. is currently looking for a Concrete Formsetter/Labourer to work on civil construction projects in Guelph, Ontario. This role involves assisting with various aspects of concrete formwork, ensuring quality control, and supporting the concrete foreman with project layout and safety standards. The position is with one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and your own vehicle
Responsibilities
- Correctly interpret blueprints, specifications and project plans
- Assist with Pre-fab gang forms, job built stick forms, install forms and ensure quality control of formwork
- Assist with stripping and removal of concrete forms after pours
- Provide support to the concrete foreman with project layout and elevation shooting
- Help manage and prevent occupational hazards and ensure the site meets all safety standards
- Assist with Install form ties and misc formwork hardware
- Help align, straighten, plumb and square forms for installation
- Erect and disassemble scaffolding, shoring, braces and other temporary structures
- Support the construction of suspended slabs
- Support the Installation of handrails
- Report any unsafe work practices or safety hazards to Foreman
