About The Position

JKT Development, Inc. is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll pour, level, finish, and repair concrete on a variety of commercial and residential projects, including roads, sidewalks, curbs, floors, and other concrete structures. Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a concrete laborer or mason.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
Excellent time management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel to various job sites and suppliers as needed.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to successfully pass a criminal background investigation.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with a variety of concrete mixes and finishes.
Ability to operate small equipment, including skid steers, mini excavators, and forklifts.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Good physical fitness and stamina.
Experience operating power tools and construction machinery.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.

Responsibilities

Design and build concrete forms.
Read construction plans, concrete details, and perform layout from survey information.
Set forms to hold concrete in place.
Properly install reinforcement, including wire mesh and rebar.
Clean and inspect surfaces prior to concrete placement.
Direct concrete placement with ready-mix truck drivers.
Pour, smooth, level, and finish concrete using rakes, screeds, floats, trowels, and power finishing equipment.
Safely operate power vibrators to properly compact concrete.
Monitor weather conditions and curing processes to ensure quality results.
Apply sealers and hardening compounds.
Construct expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
Polish concrete surfaces using power surfacing equipment.
Apply decorative finishes, including stains, colors, and decorative aggregates.
Supervise and train crew members in proper finishing techniques and tool usage.
Stay current with advancements in concrete technology and equipment.
Communicate clearly with equipment operators using verbal instructions and hand signals.
Follow written and verbal instructions from project leads.
Operate small handheld power tools safely.
Comply with all company policies, safety standards, PPE requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
