About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. This role involves performing manual physical duties, fueling and lubricating equipment, and ensuring daily site clean-up. The primary responsibilities include leveling, smoothing, and shaping freshly poured concrete, checking forms, mixing concrete to specifications, setting and aligning forms, spreading and smoothing concrete with specialist equipment, molding expansion joints and edges, monitoring weather effects on concrete, and facilitating concrete pouring. The position also requires serving as a team member and performing other skilled trade activities as needed to meet project budgets. Safety is paramount, and the individual must promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, attend daily safety meetings, and work in a safe manner. The work is performed in an outdoor setting, potentially in inclement weather, and requires the ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs regularly. Use of PPE, sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is required. Compliance with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements, including a pre-hire drug screen, is mandatory.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • 2 years’ experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual physical duties such as shoveling dirt, sand, and gravel, loading and unloading supplies, clearing job sites for equipment operators.
  • Fueling and Lubricating Company Equipment daily.
  • Daily Site Clean-up.
  • Leveling, smoothing, and shaping freshly poured concrete using tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds.
  • Checking concrete forms.
  • Mixing concrete to the correct specifications.
  • Setting and aligning the forms.
  • Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using specialist equipment.
  • Molding expansion joints and edges.
  • Monitoring the effects of weather on concrete.
  • Facilitating concrete pouring.
  • Serving as a team member and performing other skilled trade activities for selected projects to meet project budgets as needed.
  • Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program.
  • Attend daily safety meetings and inspections.
  • Work in a safe, responsible manner to not intentionally or unintentionally injure oneself, or endanger the wellbeing of others.
