About The Position

The concrete finisher is responsible for the overall quality of leveling and texturizing of concrete pavements, sidewalks, driveways, etc. on concrete surfaces on our jobs. Must be able to work as part of a team to accomplish a common goal as directed by the Foreman.

Requirements

3-5 years concrete finisher experience.
Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment
Must be reliable/have reliable transportation
Has worked around slip form paver.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Construction industry experience preferred
Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently

Responsibilities

Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Maintain consistent quality and workmanship texture in paving and handwork.
Checks the concrete forms for appropriate depths and angles before the concrete is poured.
Ensure construction per plan requirements.
Assure all joints are properly matched.
Cuts and removes all surface imperfections before the concrete has fully hardened.
Assist in handwork, prep work and cleanup as directed by the foreman.
Performs all functions as directed by foreman in conjunction with preparation, layout, cleaning, compaction, and finishing operations.
Able to work with slip form paver at single and dual lane widths.
Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations.
Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries.
