About The Position
Concrete Placement and Finishing: Preparing forms, pouring concrete, and applying various techniques like troweling and stamping to achieve desired finishes. Quality Assurance: Inspecting finished surfaces to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards. Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, maintaining, and sometimes repairing hand and power tools used in concrete finishing. Surface Preparation and Curing: Applying curing and sealing compounds to ensure the durability and longevity of the finished concrete. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment on construction sites. Team Collaboration: Working effectively with other construction team members to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver license
- Must have at least 4 years of concrete finishing experience
- Must be willing to work out of town and out of state for extended periods of time
- Proven experience as a concrete finisher, concrete mason, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, such as trowels, floats, screeds, and power saws.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials (up to 50 pounds) and working in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- A keen eye for detail is essential to create smooth and level surfaces free of imperfections.
- Understanding of concrete mixing, pouring, and curing processes.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications to understand project requirements.
- Effective communication skills to work as part of a construction team.
