About The Position

This full-time position involves placing, pouring, and finishing concrete according to project specifications. The role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to follow directions, and a commitment to quality and safety. The Concrete Finisher will also be responsible for training apprentices and new employees, maintaining a clean job site, and ensuring compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

Places, pours, and finishes concrete to specification.
Executes tasks and activities as directed, in accordance with plans and specifications provided by the Superintendent.
Spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
Levels, smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete.
Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces.
Provides on-the-job training for company apprentices and new employees.
Typically performs concrete and limited carpenter duties.
Ensures compliance with quality and production standards established by the superintendent’s task plans.
Fosters a positive attitude within the crew.
Watches for compliance with safety policies.
Keeps jobsite clean and free of debris as needed for a safe environment.
Informs superintendent of upcoming needs for materials.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by superintendent.
