About The Position
Strescon Limited, established in 1963, is the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada, serving the Atlantic Provinces, the New England region of the United States, and Bermuda. They manufacture a wide range of architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products. This position is seasonal.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the concrete industry.
- Experience with concrete finishing tools
- Ability to handle very physically demanding work
- Must be willing to work long shifts and extra hours
Responsibilities
- Assembly, preparation and dismantling of concrete forms
- Mixing, pouring and spreading of concrete materials
- Placement and tying of reinforced steel
- Level and finish surfaces using straightedges, floats and hand/power tools
- Apply curing compounds and sealants
- Repair and restore damaged concrete product
- Cleaning up working area
