About The Position

The Concrete Finisher, also known as the Pouring Crew, is responsible for assisting in the pouring process, working in a timely and safe manner to ensure production schedules are met. This role applies the proper floated finish to dry concrete as specified on drawings or by the area supervisor. Members of the Pouring Crew are part of the Production team and handle the pouring of concrete for the purpose of building parking garages, sports complexes, and office/retail buildings. This is a 1st shift position starting at 8:00 AM, working Monday-Friday, located in Denver, PA in the Architectural Building. There are no set end times; work continues until the job is finished. Positions start at $20.00/hour.

Requirements

  • Comfortable operating measuring tape to 1/16th of an inch
  • Good with taking instructions, taking feedback, and working as a part of a team.
  • A high school diploma or general equivalent (GED)
  • Basic math & measurement skills are needed as well as knowledge of various hand, power & measurement tools
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team environment are critical

Nice To Haves

  • Prior concrete and/or construction experience is helpful, but not required
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for utilizing hand tools to pour, set, smooth, and finish concrete
  • Operate industrial crane to move concrete buckets
  • Perform general labor and housekeeping tasks to maintain the work area.
  • Assist in other areas as needed
