About The Position
A concrete finisher is a skilled construction worker responsible for placing, shaping, and finishing concrete for surfaces such as sidewalks, roads, floors, and foundations. Key responsibilities include: Spreading and leveling freshly poured concrete Smoothing surfaces using hand and power tools (e.g., trowels, floats) Applying finishes, textures, or sealants to meet project specifications Repairing and restoring existing concrete surfaces Ensuring proper curing to maintain strength and durability Skills and requirements: Knowledge of concrete mixing, setting, and curing processes Ability to read basic construction plans or instructions Physical stamina and attention to detail Experience with finishing tools and techniques Concrete finishers play a critical role in ensuring that concrete structures are durable, safe, and visually finished to standard.
