About The Position

This role involves placing, pouring, and finishing concrete according to specified standards. The Concrete Finisher will execute tasks as directed by the Superintendent, ensuring quality and production standards are met. This position also includes training apprentices and new employees, performing limited carpentry duties, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality work with no rework.

Responsibilities

Places, pours, and finishes concrete to specification.
Spreads concrete to specified depth and workable consistency.
Levels, smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete.
Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces.
Provides on-the-job training for company apprentices and new employees.
Typically performs concrete and limited carpenter duties.
Ensures compliance with quality and production standards established by the superintendent’s task plans.
Fosters a positive attitude within the crew.
Watches for compliance with safety policies.
Keeps jobsite clean and free of debris as needed for a safe environment.
Informs superintendent of upcoming needs for materials.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by superintendent.
