Requirements

One year of concrete experience.
Must be able to tie rebar/steel, build concrete forms and mix/pour/finish concrete.
Ability to use all types of hand tools.
Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and the general public.

Nice To Haves

Minimum one (1) year general construction experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Taking ownership of Rusin’s “Core Values.”
Working with a team!
Complying with safety standards and aware of all surroundings.
Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth and align them.
Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed.
Spread, level, and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand/power trowel, hand/power screed and float.
Monitor how the wind, heat, or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process.
Produce rough concrete surface using a broom.
Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers and straightedge.
Clean chipped area, using wire brush and feel and observe surface to determine if it is rough or uneven.
Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete and waterproof or restore surface.
