Requirements

  • Previous experience in concrete carpentry, formwork, or general construction preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand basic construction plans and measurements.
  • Knowledge of concrete form setting, layout, and bracing.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to follow directions.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Dependable attendance and commitment to job-site safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with concrete foundations, walls, footings, slabs, or other structural concrete work.
  • Experience with form systems and concrete formwork.
  • Knowledge of rebar installation and reinforcement.
  • Experience with layout, leveling, and setting forms.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build, set, and dismantle concrete forms according to plans, specifications, and job-site requirements.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and install lumber and other materials for concrete formwork.
  • Set forms for foundations, walls, slabs, footings, columns, and other concrete structures.
  • Perform layout and ensure forms are properly aligned, leveled, plumbed, and securely braced.
  • Install and assist with rebar and other reinforcing materials as required.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with concrete placement, spreading, leveling, and finishing as needed.
  • Inspect forms and structures for accuracy and stability before concrete placement.
  • Strip and remove forms after concrete has properly set.
  • Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all OSHA and job-site safety procedures.
  • Work closely with foremen, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
