About The Position

Mortenson is currently seeking a Concrete Carpenter responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing concrete formwork and related structures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principles. Responsible for the construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures in compliance with local building codes and general construction principals.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on commercial carpentry experience
• Strong background in concrete formwork (footings, walls, columns, decks, tilt panels)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site drawings
• Knowledge of building codes, layout, and safety standards (OSHA)
• Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
• Ability to picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams
• Strong teamwork orientation
• Positive attitude and professional customer service skills
• Detail orientation
• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a carpenter
• Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

• Trade or technical school certification/diploma is a plus

Responsibilities

• Constructing, installing, and repairing concrete formwork and related structures.
• Construction and repair of wood and wallboard fixtures.
• Building and setting forms for foundations and structural concrete.
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials accurately.
• Working with power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete placement/finishing.
• Finish Carpentry, doors, frames, and hardware.
• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• All other duties as assigned.
