About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is seeking a Temporary Concierge Security Guard for a museum safety role. Success in this position requires an outstanding personality, strong people skills, and a focus on hospitality, guest engagement, and creating meaningful interactions. Strong observation skills and attention to detail are also crucial for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. This role is located in the Greater Los Angeles Area, California, with full-time temporary shifts available (Day, Swing, and Grave).

Requirements

Authorized to work in the U.S.
Previous security experience operating walk-through and handheld metal detectors.
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED.
Possess a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security training can be obtained during the hiring process).
Strong report writing skills.
Strong proficiency with technology.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience (hospitality, hotel, corporate lobby, theme park, or similar).
Security, Military, or Law Enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, employees, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
Conduct security screenings using walk-through and handheld metal detectors, including wanding individuals as needed, to detect prohibited or unauthorized items and maintain a safe and secure environment.
Provide a welcoming and professional presence across the venue.
Assist with directions, general inquiries, and visitor support.
Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats and coordinate emergency teams.
Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
Control access to secure areas and protect property and exhibits.
Control ingress and egress for both guests and employees.
Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
Write incident reports and communicate security concerns.
Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.
Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
Collaborate with site management and the security team to ensure site safety.
