About The Position

This position focuses on customer service and security within environments such as hotels. The role requires engaging with people easily and making them feel confident in the ability to help them. The Concierge Security Guard will be working with people all shift.

Requirements

Be authorized to work in Canada
Hold a valid BC security license
Advanced Security Training (AST) Certificate - Required
Exceptional customer service skills
Proficient in basic phone & computer skills

Nice To Haves

First aid certification

Responsibilities

Customer service duties like welcome, check identification, and guide visitors
Manage access control
Conduct foot patrols to identify potential risks
Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
Monitor the hotel entrance and maintain a visible security presence.
Identify and remove unauthorized or disruptive individuals in a professional manner.
Use handcuffs only as a last resort when escorting individuals off-site.
Ensure continuous lobby coverage
Limit cellphone use to required hourly check-ins with Garda Control; headphones/earbuds are not permitted during shifts.
