About The Position

This role focuses on creating incredible memories for guests by providing exceptional service and local insights. The Concierge Hostess will be knowledgeable about the local area, including current and upcoming events, and will be able to recommend activities and attractions both within the hotel and in the surrounding vicinity. A key aspect of the role is maintaining an inviting and clean Concierge lounge, as well as providing food and beverage services, including mixing drinks, while adhering to responsible alcohol service laws. The position requires a strong understanding of hotel services and attractions, with an emphasis on identifying and promoting 'Instagrammable' spots.

Requirements

• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Previous experience as a Concierge or prior experience with local events.
• Proven customer service skills, including ability to be resourceful and creative.
• Strong business communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work varying schedules to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Enjoys working as and being part of a team that provides great experiences for guests.
• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods (6-8 hours a day).
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation.
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset.

Responsibilities

• Provide and recommend things to see and do in the hotel and local area.
• Stay up-to-date on services and attractions, with a focus on Instagrammable spots.
• Influence and guide guests to hotel amenities and services.
• Ensure the Concierge lounge is inviting and clean.
• Provide food and beverage services to guests, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Mix drinks for guests and comply with applicable laws and responsible alcohol service.
