About The Position

The Concessions Staff is a part-time seasonal position. Individuals in this position support the Concessions operations by providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the facility is in exceptional condition at all times. This is a summer seasonal position with an average workweek of 20-25 hours, beginning the week of June 1, 2026. A typical schedule is 4-5 days of work per week, with 4-5 hours per shift. Shifts vary, but can be any day of the week. Must be available to work on July 4th.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service while selling concessions products to customers.
  • Operate cash register accurately.
  • Ensure that the facility is maintained and organized. This includes making sure that the area is free of debris.
  • Inventory and stock supplies as needed.
  • Wipe off and clean tables and benches.
  • Empty all garbage cans and assure that the Concessions area is clean and sanitary.
  • May be assigned to opening and/or closing responsibilities of the facility.
  • Close out the cash register, balance the drawer and secure receipts following established procedures. Prepare petty cash and bank envelopes as assigned.
  • Operate all food service equipment.
  • Make recommendations and work to ensure that the Park District is in compliance with all ADA guidelines for registration, programs and facilities.
  • Must obtain Food Handler Certification within two weeks of hire (Park District paid).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
