About The Position

The Student – Concession Attendant is responsible for providing support to the Athletic Department by selling concessions to spectators and serving student athletes at various athletic events for Cochise College. This position requires enrollment at Cochise College with a minimum of 6 credits per semester and 3 credits in the summer, and maintaining a 2.0 G.P.A. or higher. Students on an F-1 Visa require full-time enrollment with a minimum of 12 credits per semester and six credits in the summer. The job posting is open until filled, and applications are reviewed upon receipt. Cochise College requires a post-offer, pre-employment background screening of all employees.

Requirements

• Enrollment at Cochise College with a minimum of 6 credits per semester and 3 credits in the summer
• Possess and maintain a 2.0 G.P.A. or higher
• Students attending Cochise College on an F-1 Visa require full-time enrollment with a minimum of 12 credits per semester and six credits in the summer
• Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures
• Knowledge and skill in handling money, including making change
• Skill in public relations and customer service
• Ability to handle inquiries and problems efficiently and direct problems to the proper staff member(s)
• Ability to report for work on time and notify the appropriate individual in advance if unable to work
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to relate to others in a professional, helpful manner
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other department staff, faculty, students and the public

Responsibilities

• Sets up concession stand, indoors and outdoors
• Sells concessions including soft drinks and foot items to spectators at various events
• Receives money and makes correct change for customers
• Monitors money in cash drawer to ensure adequate change is available
• Cleans up concession stand
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor
