About The Position

This role provides front and back-of-house support for all events supported by Concert Production in the Conservatory’s four recital halls: Seully Hall, Houston Hall, Studio T401, and Ipswich 106. The position is part of the Berklee Student Employment program, offering opportunities to work part-time on campus to help meet living expenses. The program has over 900 positions available, ranging from 10 to 15 hours of work per week, with additional daily opportunities for project-based temporary employment. This role is considered a great opportunity for professional and educational growth.

Requirements

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program (exception: summer employment requires pre-registration for the upcoming fall semester).
  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA (first-semester students are exempt until completion of their first semester).
  • Federal Work Study students may apply.
  • In good disciplinary standing.
  • Must be located in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Stage and audience setups for Conservatory concerts and recitals
  • Serve as house manager and/or usher for all concert production supported events
  • Serve as stage crew during concerts and recitals, execute stage moves as needed
  • Run concert lighting as requested for all supported performances
  • Provide light technical support for events as needed
  • Track audience attendance, timing, and other event data for all supported performances
  • Provide stage crew assistance during off-campus performances
  • Assist with setting up QR Codes for audience members
  • Other duties as assigned
