About The Position

This position is intended for a student currently enrolled in the Graduate Program of Sound Recording at the Schulich School of Music. The Concert Recording Facilitator will maintain the schedule of student sound recording technicians according to concert production requirements, provide a list of recorded concerts with technician names and hours worked for payroll processing and tracking, verify audio file uploads to the server and check file naming protocols for each concert, and perform other related administrative duties. McGill University is an English-language university where day-to-day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.

Requirements

  • Must have full working knowledge of Schulich School of Music concert halls/event spaces and associated audio equipment including digital audio workstation software
  • Knowledge of standard stereo microphone techniques
  • Client-focused, pro-active and professional
  • Must be able to work under strict timelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English written and spoken
  • Authorized to work in Canada
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located
  • High School Diploma
  • 2 Years Related Experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the schedule of student sound recording technicians according to concert production requirements
