About The Position

We're on the lookout for a concept artist to contribute their skills to our Dungeons & Dragons® PC/console project. This innovative game will blend action-RPG/survival features with the unique elements of life-simulation games to redefine the genre and capture the imaginations of players worldwide.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years' professional experience in a similar role
  • A Baccalaureate in Art, Graphic Design or a related field
  • High-quality portfolio of gamedev-relevant Concept Art, preferably with an emphasis on stylization
  • Ability to create high-quality concepts for environments, weapons, and props
  • Strong focus on design and problem-solving
  • The ability to receive and address feedback in a timely manner
  • Mixture of 2D and 3D art techniques expressed through the use of modern software tools
  • A keen eye for landscapes, geography, and architecture
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be proactive, self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision

Responsibilities

  • Creating compelling characters, creatures, and environments based on direction from the Art Director and input from the game design team
  • Crafting a unique and consistent style for a complete game world
  • Iterating on ideas quickly through sketches and thumbnails
  • Creating concepts for day-to-day production of in-game art assets
  • Creating amazing key art that aligns with the appropriate lore / creative direction of the game
  • Communicating visual ideas across teams and departments
  • Delivering high-quality art in a timely manner with a strong attention to detail
