About The Position

This is a temporary long-term, unionized position for a Concentrator Operator Class 3. The role involves monitoring and processing ore, ensuring the proper operation of concentrator equipment, performing routine checks, maintaining equipment, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental guidelines. The work is located in Nunavik with a demanding rotation schedule.

Requirements

Professional study diploma in Machine operations, mineral and metal processing combined with any relevant experience.
Experience in operating an industrial process (mining/concentrator, metals, pulp and paper, chemical/petrochemical).
Ability to identify and diagnose troubleshoot breakdowns and problems encountered with the various equipment.
Valid driver's license.
Work with a diverse and multicultural team.

Responsibilities

Ensure the proper operation of the concentrator equipment in all sectors (crushing, flotation, reagents, control room, presses, thickeners).
Perform routine checks and inspections on the concentrator equipment.
Maintain the various equipment of the concentrator in a clean and safe condition.
Apply health, safety and environmental rules and guidelines.
Carry out any other tasks required in relation to the position.
