About The Position

Our cybersecurity team is seeking a COMSEC Manager with an additional role as Senior Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to support our team 100% onsite at our facility in Aurora, Colorado. The successful candidate will have oversight of COMSEC activities as the COMSEC Responsible Officer (RCO), operating and maintenance for the local COMSEC account. As part of COMSEC Role you will: Audit, edit and submit COMSEC Operating procedures, Semi-annual training and development and maintenance of Emergency Action Plans in accordance with NCSM. Understand and interpret government COMSEC and Cybersecurity documents and provide guidance to employees. Participate in staff meetings, program administration reviews, Government and Contractor Security Workings Groups in support of Intelligence Community Programs. Handle, receive, control, store, inventory, transfer, package, ship, track and destroy material and equipment in accordance with government directives and procedures. Conduct self-inspections and period audits to ensure accuracy of documentation and equipment, sending written reports to the customer. Provide after-hours support to the mission on rare, but as needed, basis. Additional Role as Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs, you will: Responsible for the implementation of the cybersecurity requirements as stipulated by various USG requirements documents including (but not limited to): ICD 503 RMF, NIST, and associated NIST documents. Understand, interpret, and enforce government directives and company security policies, providing direction and guidance to employees and visitors. Attention to detail in dealing with prime contractors and government customers, use problem solving and organizational skills in an ever changing, very fast paced environment. Interface with administration and maintain a liaison with government customers to include Government ISSMs, ISSEs, and ISSOs. Important note: Within six months of hire date, you must obtain and maintain a Security professional certification commensurate with IAM Level I certification (Security+ or other), if you do not already have this certification.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
  • Experience with the following: NISPOM, ICD 705, IT-IA-IM and/or NCSM.
  • Relevant Experience Considered in any combination: Cybersecurity, systems security or hardening
  • Information Technology
  • Compliance-based auditing using the Risk Management Framework (RMF), DCSA Assessment and Authorization Process Manual (DAAPM), Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and/or non-defense regulations such as FAA, Payment Card Industry (PCI), ISO 9001 Quality Management standards, or HIPPA
  • Experience working with and/or supporting computer technologies (such as: databases, operating systems, computer network hardware, software programs, hardware troubleshooting or electronics)
  • Physical security/security, policework/criminal justice, investigations, or Border Patrol
  • Project or program management, office management, senior administration, or account management
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • TS/SCI with Poly - Current
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
