In a rapidly growing enterprise, this role offers the opportunity to grow and hone the unique skills and experiences required as a cybersecurity expert to create, design, and build solutions to some of the world’s hardest engineering problems. The selected candidate will join the RMS Classified Cybersecurity Team as a COMSEC Account Manager supporting multiple Department of Defense (DoD) programs. Candidates must be knowledgeable of information technology and security principles supporting a multi-tasking environment that demands customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Communications Security (COMSEC) experience, servicing the needs of multiple programs handling classified and sensitive information using secure voice and data networks.
  • Familiarity with applicable policy to include Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) Instructions and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting COMSEC related hardware
  • This position requires applicants to have a final Secret security clearance and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance upon employment.
  • US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with the DCSA Assessment & Authorization Guide (DAAG).
  • Ability to obtain DoD Directive 8140 requirements within 180 days of start date for the 723-COMSEC Manager work role.
  • Experience meeting COMSEC requirements in support of with NSA COMSEC audits and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA)
  • Knowledge of procedures for hand-carrying / couriering of classified information
  • Training or experience with the National Security Agency required tool, DIAS, for maintaining COMSEC material control.

Responsibilities

  • Administer accountable COMSEC per NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16, and other Department of Defense issuances such as Committee on National Security Systems Instructions (CNSSI) and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
  • Receipt, distribution and destruction of Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI’s) and COMSEC keying material, to include semiannual inventories.
  • Install crypto keys and troubleshoot COMSEC equipment.
  • Provide COMSEC support/oversight to establish secure voice and data links.
  • Ensure COMSEC compliance in support of successful government reviews/inspections.
  • Support the development/administration of a robust COMSEC Training Program for the COMSEC user community on the handling of keying material, job aids and equipment.
  • Perform courier duties for COMSEC material and equipment.
  • Perform COMSEC related investigations to ensure compliance with security policy and procedures.
