About The Position

Custom Manufacturing & Engineering, Inc. (CME) is seeking a Software Engineer to develop custom collaborative robot (cobot) control integrations, artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) applications, and related GUIs for advanced manufacturing and inspection environments. The role involves working with cobots (UR eSeries and others), simulation platforms (NVIDIA Isaac Sim, Gazebo/ROS2), and AI/ML tools to create scalable solutions that enhance manufacturing automation and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
  • 1–4 years programming in environments such as Python (Advanced), C++, R, Java.
  • Experience with ML/AI Frameworks & Libraries: PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers.
  • Experience with Data Processing & Databases: Pandas, NumPy, Apache Spark, SQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with MLOps & Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow, AWS (SageMaker), GCP (Vertex AI).
  • Experience with Version Control & Collaboration: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Jira.
