The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is hiring multiple CT Technologists for its In-House Agency Plus Program. This temporary, fixed-term program offers PRN employment in 13-week intervals. Participants are required to work 36 hours per week during each 13-week agreement and receive a competitive hourly rate plus applicable weekend differentials. Shifts vary, and technologists must provide staffing support across multiple UAMS locations according to their qualifications, competencies, patient care needs, and departmental staffing requirements. Assignments may change by shift, day, or week and may involve multiple locations in the same workweek. The CT Technologist performs high-quality computed tomography examinations according to physician orders, departmental protocols, and patient safety standards. The role includes preparing patients, reviewing clinical histories, operating CT imaging equipment, administering contrast media within departmental policies and scope of practice, and ensuring images are suitable for interpretation. Technologists must work one major holiday and one additional UAMS-designated holiday, as well as every other weekend or an equivalent number of weekend shifts during the 13-week agreement. Possible assignment locations include UAMS Health, UAMS Health Imaging Center Premier Medical Plaza, UAMS Benton/Bryant, and The Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital (TOSH) at UAMS Health. Employees must be able to be fitted for and perform routine tasks while wearing PPE, including N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR. Applicants may not be currently employed by UAMS; former employees must have been separated for at least 180 days and be eligible for rehire.
