This position is responsible for all facets of IT for the center. It involves meeting the IT requirements of corporate, Regional, and National offices, determining appropriate software use for students, and prioritizing software purchases. The role also manages network subscriptions, establishes and maintains user accounts (Citrix, CIS), resets passwords, and keeps ID badge computers updated. Additionally, the Computer Tech Student maintains the Job Corps Student Network Server, creates user accounts for new students, and installs approved software on staff and student computers. The position requires staying current with technology changes, recommending improvements, and suggesting suitable computers and printers. Responsibilities also include ensuring staff complete Security Awareness Training and Account Recertification, providing system training, modeling positive culture, acting as a custodian for center property, reporting ethical violations, suggesting operational improvements, and identifying environmental health and safety concerns.
