About The Position

The Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Huntsville, AL location. This role involves performing as a Computer Systems Analyst in support of classified government contracts, exhibiting good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers. The position requires establishing and maintaining customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies, and reporting task statuses as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts in written and oral format. The analyst will support working across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems. Awareness of operations surrounding multi-user computer systems, including collaboration with network, software, and system engineers, and PC desktop technicians is necessary. The role involves supporting multiple networks under limited direction, ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed following all security policies and procedures. Support will also be provided to Facilities during environmental events, including leaks, HVAC maintenance, and power outages. Additionally, the analyst will assist Property Management and Logistics with receiving, tracking, and accountability of serialized equipment across multiple classified labs, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of tactical IP networks, including installation, cabling, advanced troubleshooting, and decommissioning. Layer 1 support in classified labs and collaborative spaces, including rack hardware installation, interconnect cabling, and hardware troubleshooting, is also part of the responsibilities. Support environments by means of ticketing requirements systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.) and raising issues that require senior level attention or involvement are expected. The role requires lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds and working after hours and weekends as needed. Due to the classified nature of the work, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options, and applicants must be willing to work on-site.

Requirements

Master's Degree with 0 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of relevant experience is required
Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Secret security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years OR must be enrolled in the U.S. Government Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program to be considered.
Hands-on experience installing, securing, cabling, and decommissioning lab and network equipment in rack-mounted environments
Experience routing, labeling, terminating, troubleshooting, and replacing cabling in a lab or test environment
Experience using cable testing and troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve physical connectivity issues
Ability to read and follow technical diagrams, equipment layouts, and written work instructions
Strong attention to detail in cable management, hardware organization, labeling, and equipment setup
Ability to support hands-on lab activities that may require lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in tight or enclosed spaces

Understanding of basic networking

Awareness of virtualization technologies

Operating System Cross-platform awareness (i.e. two or more: Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, UNIX, etc.)
